In June 2010 I published my first book. The theme is Tunisian crochet with a touch of Icelandic traditions and science fiction. In the book, I describe basic Tunisian crochet, Tunisian crochet in the round, colour patterns, lace patterns and a total of 20 different models plus 5 variations. The educational part of the book covers 1/4 of the 96 pages. There are socks, mittens, hats, scarves, sweaters, shawls, a tie, a blanket, and so on.
The printed book is only available in Icelandic, but it is possible to get a Swedish translation on the side.
Click on the pictures below to see examples from the book:
Page 55: "increase 2 sts in each round" should be "increase 2 sts in every 2nd round".
Page 55: "Then reduce 2 sts in the middle of each round" should be "Then reduce 2 sts in the middle of every 2nd round".
Page 93: Three white boxes in round 12 should be green.
Page 94: "Increase 2 sts on each side of the joining in each round 7 (7) 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (10) 11 times" should be "Increase 2 sts on each side of the joining, 7 (7) 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (10) 11 sts from the joining".
I have made other designs in Tunisian crochet as well as knitting. Read more on this page!
There is also a "fan-group" for admirers of my patterns in Tunisian crochet: Inspired-by-iceland.
